How many NGC "Cal Ripken, Jr." Proof 70 and Mint 70 coins have been generated? Also, will this designation (Cal Ripken) continue to be issued by NGC? The coins are going for a lot of money for the MS just wanted to know if anyone knows where I can find the population for the coin.

Also beware that there are 2 very different kinds of these. Some of the gold are actual signatures. These do go for a lot of money because of the signature. The rest are authorized facsimiles.

Thanks for the info. My friend wanted to know and I had only one answer on the question. Told him what the population of the coin and not with the signature. I told him NGC only keeps track of just the grades and not the labels ie First Release and so on.
