Anyone tried inexpensive macro lens attachment for iPhone?

I want to find a way to improve my coin pictures with an inexpensive option and wondered if any here had tried any of the <$15 macro lenses for the iPhone/iPad cameras.

I used an inexpensive plastic magnifying lens to burn a hole in an iphone...does that count?

I tried one. It was a piece of plastic c**p and I returned it.

Just use the 5x magnifying glass you probably already have.

Yeah I have one. Two problems...#1 if you have a case on your iPhone, the thing barely fits over it and #2 it doesn't allow a lot of light to hit the coin, so photos don't come out very good. Holding a loupe up to the lens works better.
