Three British Pounds.

A "quid" is slang for the pound. There are 20 "bob" (shillings) in a quid and there are two "tanners" (sixpence) in a "bob."

So we have:

* Two quid, plus

* 18 bob, plus

* 4 tanners = 2 bob,

which is two quid and twenty bob, or three quid.

Since:

1 Quid = 1 Pound Sterling

1 Bob = 1 Shilling

1 Tanner = 6 Pence

You have 2 pounds, 18 shillings and 24 pence.

Oh boy... let's see if these math skills still work....

(Quid = 1 Pound = 100 cents) (x2) -----> 200 cents.

(Bob = 1 Shilling = 5 cents) (x18) -----> 90 cents.

(Tanner = Six-pence = 6 cents (x4) -----> 24 cents.

So I'm gonna say it's worth 314 (cents, or pences, or whatever you wanna call it.....)

Maybe...... ?????

Quid = Pound

Bob = Shilling = 12 old pence, or 5p in modern money

Tanner = Sixpence = 6 old pence, or 2.5p in modern money

Which makes the answer:

2 pounds + 18 shillings + 2 shillings = 3 pounds (20 shillings to the pound)

Alternatively, in modern terminology:

£2 + 18 x 5p + 4 x 2.5p = £3
