I like the part where Brown is working on a blank planchet with a sculptors tool.

 

BTW, hadn't the dies for the 1913 already been created in preparation for 1913 production?

Barber and Morgan made the 1913 dies in October or November - as was normal practice. The Buffalo nickel design was not officially approved until mid-December. (See Renaissance of American Coinage 1909-1915 for details.)
