Prooflike designation on gold--when did NGC start doing this?

Another dealer bought an ANACS $10 Liberty gold coin graded with the prooflike designation at a show recently and I told him that PCGS would not cross it with the PL designation. When did NGC start doing this? Thanks.

Thanks so much. I recently sent in a $20 Lib. with an invoice number around 600K, older holder, presumably it was graded before they did that designation.
