Anyone Familiar with Pre-WWII US/Philippine Currency?

I've never given this much thought before, but I've recently noticed some pre-WWII US/Philippine currency on eBay.

 

It seems very colorful and interesting.

 

Can anyone recommend books or websites that I can read to learn about this currency?

 

(It doesn't seem to be in Friedberg, at least the older versions I have.)

There is a frequent poster in the Journals section who specializes in Philippine money. Also Raymond Czahor handles a lot of Philippine material including books.
