1926 Peace Silver Dollar

6 posts in this topic

This was part of my Father's collection. He was a coin

collector and I'm a comic book collector, so really don't

know much besides what info I find online. Any opinions are

appreciated. Thanks!

It's old, it's crusty, it has a lot of character. It's worth about $20 bux, but I bet it's worth more than that to you! :)

You have a 1926-S Peace Dollar. The S mint-mark is on the back of the coin, under the O in the word ONE.

It looks to be in approximately XF (extra fine) condition and is worth roughly $20 on a wholesale basis.

As part of your father's collection I'd keep it for sure. Pass it to your kids or a niece/nephew for posterity.

It does have a lot of sentimental value to me. Memories of when I was little, sitting

at the dining room table as my Dad looked over and organized his collection.

Coin collecting never really grabbed me, but comics did and he helped and

encouraged me in taking care of and adding to my comic collection.

Thanks to all for the info!
