RARE 1962-(D) PROOF 50C FS-901 MISPLACED D NGC PF66 ULTRA CAM

1962 NGC PF66 ULTRA CAMEO Misplaced Mint Mark FS-901 Franklin 50C

A weird variety, reminiscent of the 1952 Superbird Quarter. This is an exciting find, and to our knowledge, the only ULTRA/DEEP CAMEO, i.e. Early Die State, of this variety ever to be offered publically since its discovery in mid-2011, and inclusion in the Cherrypicker's Guide that December. Until we found a few of these last month, only 5 coins had been documented, the finest being a PCGS PF66CAM.

We have already sold one 66Ultra at $1500, and a 66DCAM at $1800, this month. This piece is the "ugly duckling." It's far from ugly, but it has a small milk spot on the reverse; and for that reason, we are willing to take offers.
