It is 40% silver. It is worth a little less than $3.

The piece is made of 40% silver clad, and as such it has a melt value that exceeds its face value. That would be $2.50 to $2.75 if you could find someone would be willing buy a single 40% silver bullion coin. Most buyers want 90% silver.

 

Beyond that the piece has no numismatic value.
