Would NGC re-holder a coin as an error label if it says double die instead of doubled die?

 

It came up in a thread in the forums so I checked eBay and found about 15 labels that say double die.

An NGC-certified coin that was seen by the on-staff variety attributor would never say "DOUBLE DIE" on the label. This represents a mechanical error, and these coins should be returned to NGC for correction. The proper terms used by NGC are always "DOUBLED DIE" or "DDO."
