Barber Coingae Semi Key/Key Dates in MS 63 to MS 65 ($500 to $1500)

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

I got back into focusing on my high grade 'type' set and wanted to look into getting key date barber coins (dimes, quarters., or halves). That being said, are there any semi key or key dates in the MS 63 to MS 65 grade range that reside in the $500 to $1500 price range?

I have been checking with several dealers I work with on a regular basis and it occurred to me that I may not be aware of the key and semi key dates. Can anyone assist in letting me know what semi key or key date coins can be had in specified grade and price range?

I appreciate any and all assistance in this regard as Barber coinage is not my area of expertise.

Kind Regards,

'mint'

What exactly are you attempting to accomplish ?

A three piece Type Set of Key/Semi Key Barbers

in the 63-65 Range at $500 to $1500, each.

Let's start with the Dimes:

Forget about "Key Dates"

Stick with Semi Keys.

I would recommend Jeff Ambio's book, © 2009.

"Collecting & Investing Strategies for Barber Dimes".

Ok, once you have this book, we can discuss your

choices in detail. Until then, you need to do a bit of

homework on your own.
