A Mercury Dime for your consideration

This dime has die polish lines that the toning has latched onto. It appears to have a slightly rotated mint mark (clockwise) but the bands are a bit mushy.

 

 

What do you think?

I like that dime.

 

The mm is normal.

 

MS65 and I think it can get FB

Probably a 65, don't think it will make FB at NGC as the center bands are rather flat.

64 shot at 65 not FB as you stated - a little mushy in the middle.

 

What does the ding on the neck line look like in hand?

I think those are die polish lines They look like it to me when you go to the full size picture.

 

And to me those bands are fully split.

 

Some say they need to be fully rounded to but I have seen way to many from both NGC and ATS that were not rounded.

I'm curious about that as well. Are they raised (i.e. die polish lines)?

 

I'd say 65 shot FB.

I don't see anything that would keep this from a 66. Looks very attractive to me.

 

And it would probably go FB at PCGS, probably not at NGC.
