Another PQ sticker?

6 posts in this topic

Maybe this one is not new but it is new to me. Another PQ sticker rears it's ugly head. When will the madness stop?

P.N.G.M ???

I personally know the collector who uses these stickers. He does not use them to indicate "PQ", but rather to indicate that he's photographed the coin in the slab and documented it in his book-in-progress. Indeed, he has numerous "details only" coins on which he's placed his sticker.

You can also find a number of NGC certified coins with his provenance on the slab ("Pedram Collection").

I kinda like that sticker... and the idea. He appears to add it as a provenance but it can be easily removed or left in place by the buyer. Thus no need for him to pay NGC to add his name to the label and no need for the buyer to reslab a coin to remove it... just peel the sticker off.

Easy-peasy.

I hope he isn't the eBay seller then. It is being marketed as PQ and hyped a bit.

Only by the one mention of PQ in the title. Then like most sellers nowadays nothing more than a picturef the slab and a reiteration of the label for a description. Then a lot of verbiage that has nothing to do with the item being sold.
