I think I've just change my collecting goals!

No Malta coins in my collection.

 

However, browsing the catalog I see quite a few sharp looking coins from Malta. If you have a 17th century Krause check out the gold zeccinos (KM16-20) which look similar to Venice's coinage. Another good design is KM48 the 4 tari which looks like a papal issue. This may be a country worth looking into.

 

How about you, Thing? I'll be there are plenty of Malta coins with a crusader connection.

I have none as of now. There are quite a few Knights of Malta related coins from towards the end of the Crusader period.
