That just sounds wrong but GTG.........

That sentence brings a few thoughts to mind...........maybe a MS64? Washies are tough for me to grade.

It was in an NTC MS 66 holder and the coin is free of marks. There's some less that beautiful toning but not terribly unattractive either.

 

Just needs to go into an NGC holder to have any street cred. I think the MS 66 was correct. We'll see when it gets back.

To many this would be total sacrilege, this could be a coin that would benefit from a judicious, professionally performed dip. The toning is the type that mostly dulls the surfaces and does little to enhance eye appeal. The coin is in a high state of preservation, but it just lacks pizzazz.

 

I might wrong, but I have the impression that the reddish color I see on this piece is from the red photo indicator that is on the front of the camera.
