Working for a bank paid off again.

 

Being a collector, I feel blessed to work at a bank, particularly on days such as last week. We got a cash shipment in and we received two bricks of FED wrapped $1 bills. I always get excited when we receive FED wrapped money, because the possibility of interesting serial numbers is there. This particular instance, there serial numbers were nothing of note, but I did notice that the blue bands on the strap of one set of bills was broken, indicating star notes! Sure enough, once we unwrapped them, a savings withdrawal later, I was the proud owner of 100 consecutively numbered star notes.
