New to coin collecting, question about mint sets.

I am joining NGC this Friday and I am trying to get my five coins together that I want graded. One coin is from a 1960 mint set, still sealed from the mint. Out of the coins in the set, I only want the Franklin Half graded. Can I cut that coin out and send it in still sealed in the original mint packaging?

Thanks for the question and I'm glad to hear that you're becoming an NGC member. Yes, you can cut out the Franklin Half Dollar and submit it still sealed in the original mint packaging.
