Help with taking photos of my coins.

3 posts in this topic

Hi Everyone,

I am new to coin collecting and have very few coins. I do have 2 coins I would like to send in for grading and would like to get opinions of them. However the images I have taken are really bad and don't do the coins justice. I have used a iPhone 5 and a Canon G1X without success.

Any help on taking images would be appreciated.

Thank You,

John

Not sure if this is a good way to do it -- new to this forum (like brand new)--- but for my comics and the coin I put in below, I used a scanner. might have to edit the image to cut out the white space--- but it came out ok and let me combine both sides on one image:

good luck!

What are the two coins? Even if you can't take pictures, we might be able to guide you if you could provide the denomination, date, mint and brief description as the whether the coins look to have any wear or defects.
