sealed ikes

hello

 

to get the sealed ike designation does the case have to be mint sealed.what if the case was opened and than closed back up.

 

this is a beautiful 1974 S silver proof ike that I want to get graded --should I send it in its brown box or should I take it out and send it?

Hello,

 

Thanks for the question. The brown box Ike dollar would need to be US Mint-sealed to be banded by NGC. If the case was open it would be graded as a standard raw coin submission.
