England moving to plastic paper currency for smaller bills

Saw this in the Chicago Tribune today. Interesting. I wonder of the U.S. will follow suit!

Probably as soon as they decide it is a good idea, give them forty or fifty years to study the matter and reach a decision. After all much of the world has switched to polymer notes, should only take the US government a half century to decide it might be a good idea.

I brought some Candian notes back with me on my last trip that are presumably similar. I consider them less attractive and do not like them.
