I am taking inventory of my families estate and i have had three different opinions from three different dealers. I am new to this and i understand the pic quality isn't the greatest but i will try to post better pics

Are these 4 pics of the same coin or two different coins? The coin in the first post looks 64 mabey 65ish but also shows signs of a possible cleaning; 1880-S is a very common coin even in gem condition. Mabey $150 full retail value if it was already holdered by NGC as an MS65. Raw uncertified like this you might be able to sell it on ebay for $40 or so. The pics in the second post are not good enough to say much about the coin.

Thanks for the reply,Alot of these coins are in plastic that looks to have had something leak , as far as i know none of the coins have been cleaned. They haven't been touched in over 20 years.I am worried about the blue crud and dont want the coins to be ruined..In the pictures they look tarnished but the are actually very white and reflective

The green stuff on your coins in the plastic flips is PVC .

Looks like a good score to me either way! I wish I could find a box of silver dollars!

That's the fun part, looking through them.......wanna sell em? He he :-) [/quote

Well a nice score but it was my fathers. I would just like to inventory it and maybe possibly have a few pieces graded if its worth it. It's also a great learning experience.

The dealers i went to kinda shut me out when i told them i really wasn't looking to sell, i was just trying to get a little info. however one was very informative and said a few of these should be graded.
