Nice upgrade! (Corrected OBV Photo)

When I read that NGC is now slabbing/recognizing the 1983 Spitting Eagle variety, I thought....what is that? I hadn't heard of it before. After all, I did just start collecting 4 years ago. So I sought one out because I thought it looked quite interesting. I found one slabbed by SEGS graded MS63. I thought it looked slightly undergraded so I cracked it out and received the designation today from NGC with an MS66 grade! SWEET.

You talk about a 1983 coin, but show the obverse of a 1976. Which date has the variety?

Since the 1976 doesn't have an eagle, I would suppose it has to be the 1983. It looks like he got the pictures mixed up.

 

Congrats on the upgrade.... 63 to 66 is quite a jump!
