Coins returned and no conservation performed but, Thank You!

I received my two Morgans back from NCS with the sticky notes saying:

"A probability exists that toning removal will diminish the overall attractiveness of the coin and/or it's desirability and grade."

Thanks for not doing something that would ruin the coins. I wish that the carbon spots were gone but I would rather have a coin with original lustre that a washed out lifeless coin!

I guess my question is; Can a carbon spot be removed without ruining the lustre of the coin?

While a magic trick that would fix every coin would be wonderful, sometimes, we feel the coin is better off as is. We are glad that you understand this. It has been one of the hardest points to get across to our submitters.
