NGC doesn't certify Continental Currency pieces, but there is an easy way to identify most replicas. These are typically molded, rather than being die struck, and there is almost always a seam along the coin's edge. Oftentimes, this seam shows a slight offset, so that the two halves of the coin are not perfectly aligned. If you see any kind of seam on the edge of your coin, it is a replica of recent origin.
