Smithsonian coin curator position is open: apply before August 9th

The Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC is planning to hire a new curator of numismatics. The duties are described as:

 

---Researches American history through objects and collections as well as traditional sources.

---Collects and manages large and diverse collections.

---Plans and develop exhibition concepts and content as a team member in specialty area and as part of team for broader subject areas.

---Has previous professional scholarly experience within the discipline of American Numismatics.

---Understands monetary devices and their systems, their economies, and their historical context.

 

The position is full-time and permanent and open to all US Citizens or Nationals. Applications accepted until August 9, 2013.
