Slowly adding to my Indian cents.

 

Well this week I have something a little different than my usual Lincoln cent. I found an Indian Head cent in one of last week's auctions that fit in my budget and is also a nice coin for my Indian cent set.

 

This set grows very slowly as obviously it is not my primary focus right now. When a nice one comes along you just have to nab it like I did. Enjoy the change from normal.

 

BTW, there is also a new Lincoln in my 59-Date set if you care to look.

I'm to blame for the photo of the obverse. It actually looks a lot more like the coloring on the reverse. I don't know what happened on the picture. The obverse is pretty much a chocolate color in the fields and on the face of liberty with some nice red showing around the edges at the rim.

 

I think more red-brown but it fetched a brown.

Michael, I have found that occasional changes of scenery are essential to me in keeping my main passion lit. Indian Head Cents are a natural for you in keeping your passion for Lincolns. BTW, that is a nice Indian Head Cent that I think should be RB. As a collector I've toyed with starting a collection of Indian Head Cents, and maybe I'll pick em up one of these days.All the best.
