Other Holder Solution

4 posts in this topic

Seems to me that with the advent of GSA grading, NGC can expand this creative notion to other certified holders, thus exanding the Registry even further.

For example, a person might wish for some reason to retain a coin in an ANACS holder, but could submit the coin for grading to receive a "Registry Grade". NGC denotes the "Registry Grade" by the same method it denotes the GSA grade and the coin is allowed on the Registry.

Additional source of income and more coins accepted in the Registry. What's not to like?

Yes! Great idea TDN! This would be a good solution to the registry issues of how to assign points to coins in other holders.

Why not do the same with Redfield Morgans as with the GSA dollars?

And maybe the "brown box" Ikes too. I don't know if the Ikes being in their holders add a premium, but they might.
