Mint and Proof Set Grading

I have several early proof sets in their mint packaging. Can I send them in to NGC in the mint packaging? Also can I designate a minimum grade to keep them from being removed from the mint package? Thanks!

Thanks for the question. Yes, you may submit proof sets in the original mint packaging. You would not be able to specify a minimum grade, however. All of the coins would have to be graded.

When sending the set in the mint packaging is there a special way I would need to fill out the submission form?

Thanks for the question. No, you would list all of the coins on the form as you would for a regular submission. Just note that if you would like the packaging returned you must select "Return Mint Packaging" on the submission form.
