Anyone viewing the Stacks auction in hand?? help

7 posts in this topic

I am interested in this coin. I am quite confused of what to make of the in hand appearance. Looks like it may be more deserving of BN.

Here are links to Stacks and HA

One of the reasons I no longer actively collect RB copper...

"RB today... BN tomorrow"

That coin has just [barely] enough R to be an RB - just barely.

It probably should be BN but still...is there something the OP is looking for here or is it just the copper color?

The Stacks photo sure makes it look brighter....

Judging from stack's pics it appears to be a very attractively toned cent. However from the HA pics the toning looks average. Just wanting to know what to expect. I am sure the coin is somewhere in between.

I am sure I will not be bidding since I have probably waited too long to have the coin viewed. Not my focus anyhow.

Not sure how I missed the info on this auction. Oh well

Tough call based on the pics. Stacks-Bowers clearly shows a RB coin. The Heritage pics don't help at all in determining color. Copper collecting is often a moving target when it comes to RB, BN. Tough ballpark.

BTW, very nice looking IHC.
