1910 Barber Half Dollar

3 posts in this topic

Hello everyone. One last request for some opinions. Here is a 1910 US Barber Half Dollar. From my understanding, since it does not have a mint mark, it is from the Philadelphia mint, and is a significantly lower production than the "S" version.

What do you all think? Worth grading? (I'm leaning towards probably not).

This does actually have a mint mark. If you look on the reverse below the tail feathers and above the "DO" of "DOLLAR" you will see the S. :Moreover, the coin is harshly cleaned and has many rim bruises on top of the fact that it is a very low grade. This one is not worth sending in.

In that condition, I don't think it's worth getting graded, whether it was produced in Philadelphia or San Francisco. However, contrary to what you posted, the coin does appear to have an S mintmark beneath the eagle's tail.
