Full Bands

4 posts in this topic

Andy,

We are looking (on the reverse of course) at the center horizontal bands on the fasces. In order to qualify for full bands, there must be a clear and uninterupted seperation in the center of the band. This can be stronger in some areas than others, but must be complete. A tiny mark or two may be permitted on the bands but not if the mark(s) create an interuption in the recessed center. There are many coins that just miss and we even see some that are reengraved from time to time so be careful and use magnification. My preference here would be a Zeiss model D36.
