i just got this 80s came home and set up for a movie at home with the wife but then ended up spending the next 4 hours searching my butt off trying to figure this coin out. its close to a few vams i saw but nothing fit right. any ideas based on the date? i believe it to be a large s if this helps. thanks for looking

1880-S VAM-16 looks close. Die chip on right between the loops of the first 8 of the date. Second 8 doubled on left bottom outside of upper loop. I can't really see by the pics, but you have in hand. Also, the S on this vam is medium
