Mas Pidcock's pick-ups! 415a & 455! (Results are in!!!)

I just snagged these two Pidcock's! a 415a (i say milled), & a 455! Care to guess the grades on these before I send them out?

I'll go with an MS62 on the 415 and MS64 on the 455.

 

Both are nicer than mine.

Very nice. I think the 455 is better than mine as well.

 

The 415a is hard to grade on these photos ... the centers look like it could be just a weak strike, but not having it in hand I would venture somewhere in the EF-AU range if it recieves a grade. Is the token bent or is it the optics? The 455 is a beauty and I'd go for a MS-63 if the powers that be don't discount for the roughness on the obverse at about 4 o'clock.

The center of the 415 is weakness. This issue is common with weak center

Without seeing in hand I would say MS63 for both.

Following Conder101's knowledge about weak centers on this issue, I would have to revise my estimate on the 415a as a MS-63. Nice pick-up

Nods to JOBESSI .... I tended to think the same way as I checked the reverse and didnt see a problem. Looks odd though, and nothing like having it in hand to check things out.

RESULTS are IN from NGC!!!

 

It's actually a 415B, graded MS64BN

The 455 graded MS65 BN !!!!! Woo-hoo!

 

I also had a 418 in the same batch come back MS63 BN

& a416B grade MS62 RB!!!
