1909 VDB and 1913s wheats

im some what new to coins and looking for some outside opinions on a few coins. ill have to post the others in another thread since i dont have any photos at the moment. for the coins posted here, is it just me being new or is there something going on with the mint mark on the 1913s? thanks for any input, it helps alot.

Welcome to the forum.

 

It might just be the lighting in your images, but the color of both coins looks off to me, such that I suspect they might have been cleaned. The mint mark you asked about looks OK to me.

The mintmark might have been damaged. I would not be concerned about that "S" from an authenticity standpoint. The 1909 look XF with the 1913 at VF.
