You might have better luck selling this by getting the variety attributed on the slab.

 

...which would then lose the "scarce" NGC 8 slab generation... hm

I think any premium would likely be due to the variety and not the holder.

I agree, that's why I put "scarce" in quotes. ;)

It is accurate to say that NGC 8 is scarce. It was only produced for about a month in 2000. It just doesn't garner much of a premium because it is not as popular as other types.

Unfortunately NGC won't recognize this variety on the slab. I have a MS-66 and asked about having the variety added, their response was that they don't slab this variety any more.

 

PCGS does recognize the variety.
