Penny searching..

Today I found an 1865 and an 1879 Indian Head while roll searching a batch of wheat pennies I bought from a local gold and silver buyer. Apparently they have a fairly big tin of wheat pennies (really anything before 1982 but mostly wheats) and the guy told me he'd sell them for 3 cents a penny as he had no interest in searching through the lot. I think I'll go back there and buy another $20-$30 worth next week!

Dates that old are certainly a nice find in bulk copper cents! What kind of shape are they in?

Both are in the Good to VG range although not much better than that. They make nice hole fillers in my Whitman folder.
