magnification and resolution

still trying to decide on a camera or smart phone...of course magnification is the degree of enlargement of an image...

 

Now resolution is the degree of clarity of an image...(my definitions)

 

If I wanted to post a photo on the page...what would I consider? A larger magnification or a higher resolution?

The biggest problem I see with trying to use a smart phone's camera is movement.

 

I haven't seen any tripods for digital phones yet.
