Mint Error?

Hi,

 

I was wondering what the chances are of this coin receiving an error designation. I have asked in the forums but have not received a definitive answer.

Thanks for the question. It's tough to tell from the picture and we wouldn't be able to give a definitive answer without seeing it in person. It's particularly hard to get a sense of the scale.

 

If it is a struckthrough made as part of the minting process, then it is probably something that we would recognize as a mint error. If after seeing it in person it appears to be post-striking damage, we would not recognize it as a mint error.
