Modern silver commems

Assuming the value of silver does not plummet, is there any reason to believe that common modern silver commems (mintage 100k or more) will ever be worth much more than the melt value?

The 2001 buffalo silver dollar is doing pretty well.

IMO...I think there is always a market for anything, some do better than others, for example, if there had been commemoratives featuring ,just an example..... modern skyscrapers...........after 9/11 can you imagine what the value of a WTC would have been? It has a lot to do with emotional attachment. The buffalo silver dollar probably taps into that.

Pretty much what I figured, even the olympic silver commems from yesteryear are not commanding any premium over silver melt.

Most of them probably won't appreciate in value, at least in our lifetime. The Mint has gotten pretty good at producing these, and 69's & 70's are commonplace.
