Need some advise on a roll of golden nugget quarters

3 posts in this topic

Hi everyone

I just won this roll of quarters from the Golden Nugget Casino.

I don't know anything about casino memorabilia, so I dont want to damage the roll by opening it.

The end of the roll has a 1965 quarter

So is the roll worth opening or will I just damage a piece of casino history

What I really need to know is, does any one know the age of the roll by the colour of the wrapper.

Is the roll worth more to sell as a full roll from the casino, or does that matter

To open or not to open that is the problem, any advice would be great thanks

All the best

Alan

If you open the roll you have $10 in quarters. Perhaps there's some silver in it, but even if every coin but the two ends are silver the roll is worth $170 ish. I'd hazard a guess that the roll's at least 20 to 30 years old by the looks of it, but I'd also say that it's likely more valuable left alone.
