1964 kennedy no fg half dollar

2 posts in this topic

i found a 1964 kennedy half dollar in a bank roll, and was inspecting to see if it was accented hair. in looking, i could not find the fg, and then realized it appears to be a no fg (normal hair). i do not have a powerful enough glass to see if there it extraordinarily light fg or no fg. in either case, is this of interest and/or valuable? i did not see it as a variety ngc attributes, and only found one reference to it being hard to find on a yahoo search result.

You won't find an Accented Hair on a circulation strike. Those were only on the proof version. I know that the 66 has a FS designation, not sure about the 64's though. Another cool thing to look for would be the Triple Die Obverse. If you have a nice glass it will be easy to see. Best of luck.
