Q: Who was the originator of the 1861 "Female Riding Deer" bogus Confederate note?

Samuel C. Upham of Philadelphia who by his own admission he acknowledge responsibility for counterfeiting over 1.5 million notes, which were then smuggled into the south during the period of 1862-63.
