It looks AU, but I think it is possibly/probably counterfeit.

 

Unless you are an expert, I would advise you not to buy uncertified Trade Dollars.

NEVER buy a raw Trade Dollar, especially a better date, unless you are an expert. The number of counterfeit pieces is huge.

 

That coin does not look "right" to me, but I'm not a walking expert on these coins. I need some back-up materials.

For the money you're going to pay for a trade dollar, you're going to want to buy one already slabbed by either PCGS or NGC.

 

Never buy raw ones either online or offline unless you are expert at determining authenticity.
