Is It A Dime

This appears to be a dime but:

 

1. The diameter is much smaller

2. No ridges/reeds on the side

 

Is it a wrong planchet or what ?

You should photograph it next to a normal roosevelt dime for comparaison. No one can tell the size by the coin pictured alone. It could be nine inches long but how would we know?
