MS 65 Coins

I sent a coin to be graded which I considered to be a DDO.

Coin came back graded as MS 65 but they forgot to check for the variety.

Sent the coin back for variety grading.

Coin comes back as: Die Erosion Doubling Only

Q: How can a MS 65 coin also have die erosion.

Any answers, let me know.
