So i was wondering if anyone knows how to block someone from being able to send messages to me or even have anything to do with me in any way?

Quick story:

This guy, i assume, his name is Michaeldofj, on ebay, sent me a message the other day saying he saw i sold a certain coin a couple months ago and that he had one that is the same. An NGC certified SAMPLE slab with a 1982 D Washington Half. So he says he sees that i sold it for $41 and that i could buy his for $27.

I tell him that i sold mine because i didnt want it and i was not not interested in buying another one. Thanks though. Then i asked him how he knew i sold one because i didint know you could look into auction archives, still dont know how to.

Anyway, he messages me back saying from the archives and that he was just trying to sell me his, and adds, "you little " but he pulls one letter from each word and adds a different one. Im not an insufficiently_thoughtful_person though.

I ask him, "did you mean to say, "you little ""?

He says back, "i meant what i meant ypu piuck bth frkk ofra dont buy it if you dont want it." Those were copied right from his message.

OK, so i would like to block this guy....??? Any suggestions

Searching auction archives on ebay is quite common so he had no special insight. I do not know how to block a member from sending you messages, but it seems to me it would be easy enough to ignore him in the future.

Anyone can search completed sales for any seller on eBay.

Bring up the seller's store, and see what they're selling that's active, then on the left side, scroll down to the selection Completed Sales, and check that, and every auction you've had that ended with or without a sale, is listed there.

Green prices mean the item sold for that amount, and the red ones mean the item didn't sell.

Have him send it to a PO box. Then when you have his return address go and stomp his !!!

I like this reply! lol

Maybe 10 years ago! I have 2 kids now who would miss their dad when he is in prison...

Don't waste your time or energy. Block him from bidding on your eBay auctions. Delete any emails without reading them. Remember-- :troll:

I htin this is the block buyers list - do not know if it entails communication though

Enter in search block buyer

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?bidderblocklogin

http://ocs.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CustomerSupport

Other useful links

Those only block an eBay user from bidding/buying from your store, and doesn't block their emails, which are sent through eBay's server.

It does now block NEW correspondence through eBay's system.

It does not block existing message "threads" you may have with someone, however.
