Finding Them As I Can

 

Hi everyone. Here is my latest addition to my Lincoln Memorial Registry Set a NGC MS69RD 2003D Lincoln Memorial. Yes I did have a PCGS example in the same grade in my set and I know some will wonder why or question this decision since the PCGS example still remains in my overall collection. Yes I will eventually try to have an all NGC set as they become available. Also, there is nothing wrong with having an example of both, it just adds more value and variety to my collection. This example has a population of 10. It seems to take on average of about 5-7 years before the newer examples drop in price to become reasonably priced. I was able to pick this one up for just over $100 which is about $10 under list but for a population 10 coin it was worth it. In this case that is a tough call. They both have exceptional strike detail and color. I wish I had a better picture of my PCGS example but you can look at it in my 16th President Lincoln Memorial Set. I do not wish to get into the NGC vs PCGS debate because I own great coins and some dogs from both companies. PCGS as of the last time I checked had graded 115 examples at MS69 and NGC had only graded 10.

Another nice addition. How many do you have left to convert? I have six left and the prospects are few and far between as far as pop goes.
