Interesting date series with helpful date/mint information, but many errors on the origin and initial production of the coins. Just a few of the mistakes include:

1. $10 1907 - no such thing as a "rolled rim." It's nothing but a normal rim.

2. $20 MCMVII “flat rim” minting reason is wrong.

3. No “proofs” were made of the MCMVII coins. All made the same way on medal presses.

4. “Roman finish” is pure Breen Bologna. Nothing but normal coin surface from new dies.

5. $20 1907 low relief. Story of Barber adapting “original design” is wrong.

6. MCMVII quantity is wrong.

It is recommend to NGC and Mr. Garrett that they read the numismatic research book Renaissance of American Coinage 1905-1908 to gain an understanding of what ACTUALLY occurred, instead of repeating false and incorrect information to collectors.

It will be interesting to see if NGC corrects any of the errors.

Thanks for the comments. We'll review your feedback and Garrett's articles over the next couple of weeks and see what changes should be made.
