a wreath cent with great average+ color and surfaces is a rare coin to find in grades under xf

 

even more scarce is a coin that has never been brushed, oiled or recolored and is in

 

as found condition

 

with all the surface dirt and oils from circulation (detrius) still inbetween all the cracks and crevices and with all the character the handling marks give the coin which was circulated in late 18th century federal govt USA

are your best bet for fun and money safety and i think good future returns

 

or i should say decent hand selected with average+ to choice surfaces and color pre 1840 large cents/ colonial coppers have a fundemential reason to rise in demand hence value

i saw that the grey sheet june 29 2012 last weeks had an article on wreath cents and that in grades good-4 to vf-20 they jumped in price 18% and in some instances to almost 30% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

again in grades good-4 to vf-20

 

I was sad yesterday as MY BIRTHDAY PASSED AND I NEVER GOT ONE CARD OR GREETING AND NO ONE BOUGHT THE EAC JOURNALS

 

BUT NOT TO WORRY (which i am sure no one is and neither am i) I AM FEELING BETTER TODAY
