NGC Census for Medals

Does NGC have any plans to publish the census data for Medals? It is very inconvenient not knowing the NGC population of medals that run into five and six figures. Betts Medals should at least be available. Thanks!

Thanks for the question. There are no immediate plans to include most medals in the Census. For many of these the populations would make the medals appear far rarer than they actually are because few are submitted for certification. In addition, we revised our tokens and medals program about 8 months ago and no longer certify certain types, including Betts medals. We will continue to study this and may decide to include certain medals in the Census in the future as the populations increase.
